When I look at what's going on in this country, and, when I see wimpy attitudes even on this very message board, I find myself thinking:

Do Men Still Have Balls?

I've brought up the issue of suing a lawyer with some men before... and, always the same reaction... either silence or the view that it's a battle that probably won't be won... so, why bother...

And, I think to myself... just when was the point in our society when men turned their balls in? If that sounds crude... so be it... ... In America, there was a time damn it when men acted like they were carrying a couple in their pants. Seriously guys... when did it happen?

Look at the state of the American fathers rights movement. Look at how we are letting family court get away with the harm that's being perpetuated ON OUR OWN KIDS!

Well... I'll tell you what. I don't give a damn if California falls into the sea. My lawyer egregiously violated the Model Rules of Professional Conduct 1.3 and 1.5 and, I don't care how damn unrealistic ya'll think I am... guess what... I'M SUING THE BASTARD!

I've still got mine! Stuffed and mounted, hanging on the wall.

My ex-wife got mine (along with numerous other things). I believe they are on a mantle above her fireplace.

Balls to do what? Unless those balls are connected to a brain, fat wallet and a good lawyer, men don't stand a chance. If you lack any of the previous, you'll be quickly castrated in court by men without a pair and all the power.

States contract with private companies to collect money, are paid based on what they collect and given law enforcement power they shouldn't have.

IMO, children are being used to bail the states out of AFDC and Welfare.

Other than rape, a female can choose to have sex or not, has a choice to abort a pregnancy for any reason and can choose if she wants child support or not, but screams equal treatment, equal rights....

Dadbeatdead, no offense intended, man, but, you're actually sort of illustrating my point.

See, this is what I'm talking about. There was a time when men wouldn't give a flying &*&% about standing a chance or not and they'd take the proper action because they knew they were right and it was the right thing to do and &*&% the outcome either way because there's a reward in being a man and acting like a man and fighting a fight even if you know you'll probably lose because you know the fight is honorable.

But, what's happened to this way of men looking at the world.
I think we forget that this whole country was once a wild wilderness with natives who were hostile to us (rightfully so), and, through brute force and ingenuity, it was MEN who built the most sophisticated and complex civilization that the world has ever seen.

See, we may have cocks; but, we don't act like it... see, that's my point..........

Do you get it?

Got it. Man, I am 100 percent fed up with standing across a desk from some jackass calling me a liar or worse and because he's got a suit and a little power I can't tell him to meet me outside to settle it. Maybe they have a more civilized and politically correct way of doing things now, but that ain't how they got there and somewhere deep inside they know it. They gotta know too that what they're doing is killing the spirit, a much worse violence. O, ye of little faith. . .  BTW, folks, I now have the song  Deadbeat Dad uploaded to my band page at myspace.com/smitisan  Like the late great Bob Marley, (a nod to Papa) I'm ready to start a revolution. Just one song about this stuff could at least get our side of the issue out there.

Yes its her body.   Its not right for a court to force a woman to have a baby, not really knowing the outcome.

That she cannot choose, in all states, child support is required, but in some states the parents can agree on the amount.  In my case, child support was not requested, but the court ordered because its mandatory.

Anyone see Leonard Pitts's column this morning? It's about exactly what we're trying to say here concerning the paralysis in our society. Starts with a friend of his from former Soviet republic Estonia commenting that America is less free than she was under the Soviets. Check it out.

Oh, I get it,  I'm still fighting, I haven't given up and WILL NOT. I'm 1/4 Tuscarora Indian. The Indians fought bravely with the weapons they had but wound up loosing anyway because of sheer numbers and better weapons used against them. These MEN you speak of also murdered the Indians and ran them off their land to build the most greedy, corrupt and destructive civilization the world has ever seen.

The Devil rules the world these days my friend. His weapons are the almighty dollar, lawyers, politicians/Dictators. I've only just begun to fight.

Yes, that is a fair point; but, I didn't include that example to illustrate a moral point... I included it to demonstrate just how ineffective men have now become by comparison... but, I think more importantly, what smit calls above the "paralysis of society."

I'm saying that there was a time when men weren't so easily dissuaded from an objective.

I tell a group of men and that I'm going to sue my lawyer and they say, "Oh, you won't get anywhere. You can't win. Why bother."

And, what I'm saying is that men ARE NOT supposed to think that way. Men are supposed to say to hell with the outcome, it's the right action to take, and, I don't care if I have a chance or not... I'm doing it anyway.

smit, I think this is the article you mean:
http://www.miamiherald.com/living/columnists/leonard_pitts/story/523915.html
I read it, and, yes, point well taken

What I'm saying is that men are getting increasingly effeminate and it's a bad thing and the evidence of the whole thing is our pathetic and heart breaking limp dick of a fathers rights movement.... it's just totally pathetic.............

don't you get it .......... our kids are getting trashed and our response is feeble....

Use of the Child Support Enforcement Program is not mandatory. You may establish paternity and/or support and enforce court orders without the assistance of the IV-D program.

"A man can also choose".

Yes a man can choose to have sex (IF) the woman (FIRST) agrees too. I was lied to by this particular woman about her ability to become pregnant. Yes, I'm the fool for trusting her. She purposely violated my trust in her by thinking that I would marry her if she became pregnant. I didn't, and now she is bitter and using my son to get back at me.

"Its not right for a court to force a woman to have a baby, not really knowing the outcome".

And it's not right for a woman to use her body for financial gain or marraige either. When I wouldn't marry this woman, she threatened to have an abortion on my birthday. She backed out at the last minute and then told me that she would come after me for every penny she could get, he wouldn't carry my last name and I would have to take her to court for visitation where she would then try to drag me through the mud since my job was so public.

"Well we are no longer living in a world where only men work and take care of all the families needs".

Thanks to the Women's Rights Movement and Government trying to legislate morality.

I am not anti-woman, I am now married to one of the best women in the world.

fathers need to stop playing victim.  self victimization means no balls, which is the subject of this thread.  Ok, so you were suckered into having unprotected sex with a woman that you were fond of at some point?  What responsibility did you take in protecting and ensuring yourelf, or was the responsibility on the woman to ensure that no child would be conceived?  Stop thinking about who did what, and what you should have done.   Being a parent was the last thing I was thinking of when I found out, but I know longer care about the events that lead to my child existence becasue I love him soooo much.

The only victim here is my son. Yes I was "suckered" into having unprotected sex and I've taken full responsibility for it. I'm well aware of what I should have done and I'm not looking for pity. I'm sorry if I came across that way. I thought this was a place to share my story with others that are going through similar situations.

It is dadbeatdead, this cpkk, imo, is a flamer who gets off on trying to stir up some trouble.. the best thing for everybody to do is to simply ignore the posts from cpkk that are disruptive to the spirit of the board.........
