Booyah Marine--go get'em.  I signed and so did my husband.

I actually discussed this issue with my Congressman.  On the ACF website there is a "training manual" for dealing with the Military and Child Support.  They discuss ways to get around the Soldiers and Sailors Act--An Act that was designed to protect our military members when serving overseas!  And how to make sure they are basing support on "all" income being received by the member--not just base pay.  If they live in the barracks and eat in the mess hall, it means that they are not paying rent or buying food--therefore, they can afford to pay a higher amount of support!  I thought it was despicable at best.

It is also suggested that they, the CSEA's, can hold hearings with military members via webcam or telephone.  Why would they need to use electronic methods, you ask?  Because they are trying to initate actions on troops who are currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan!!!!!!!!!  I don't know about you, but I think the troops over there need to be left alone to focus on the mission at hand.  A distracted soldier is a danger to himself and all those around them.....

Please sign the petition.
