I am a non custodial parent in a case which I thought to be unique, but sadly with research I have found is not very extraordinary. I pay current child support, and have completely paid off my child support which i accrued while I went to nursing school through poverty. I am currently owed a very large sum of money by the custodial parent who did not pay for more than twelve years and came with papers to take my daughter while i was at work. I am aware of what the division of child support can do to recover arrears but feel like it would be a form of revenge to try to pursue action. I need an outside input on what to do, im on temporary leave for surgery i had and my income taxes were intercepted. Wouldn't the division of child support intercept for the child support owed to me? I have obtained legal council through metlaw, but i do not know the details of what to file. I am being alienated from my daughter harrassed and hatemailed. Please help as i have eight children to provide for.

To the question of arrears and college expenses. All this depends on what actually is in the original order, or if it were modified, that modified order. If the order states that college expenses are to be paid, and they aren't, then those would go to arrears just like child support that isn't paid.

My name is John and I am an Angry Marine! I have served a government that supposedly helps the weak and punishes the evil. However we have state services that are poorly run and yet they hold individuals fully accountable for all actions regardless of fault blame or actual circumstances. I have been robbed of many first from my only child and because the state says that they are doing this for the child!!!! ANY PERSON THAT ATTESTS THE STATE IS DOING ANYTHING FOR THE CHILDREN ARE BLINDED BY THEIR OWN FOOLISHNESS. They obviously dont know how to research the states many failures at state run childrens agencies or facilities. Even the state run school systems do not go to the extent of persicution of individuals that they do with the non custodial parents. There are several quick examples of better systems that people have come up with just due to their own pain suffering and rage! Its not rocket science but it does take a system that is willing to listen.

I AM GOING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE EVEN IF IT TAKES ME MY ENTIRE LIFE AND SAVINGS! Any help and or support would be greatly appreciated. (not looking for money, just a passion to make a difference or informaiton that can lead to the conviction of these state and governmental agencies that act in behalf of their own selfish greeds).

Let me know if you would like to provide information or be of assistance. jsterli1.js@gmail.com

Depends on the order. In some states, they even start charging you for college expenses, in addition to the child support. We have a lot on this subject available in the members only section of the website, as well as in the Handbook.

I too am from Oklahoma! I am battling the same thing in two cases, one in which I have custody of the child and paying back child support to a grandmother that got custody after a task force raid on my ex wife. The other is a child whom I have never met and been refused visitation and even contact with since day one yet I'm required to pay the mortgage and car payment for the mom, her other children, her husband and whom ever may be living in the home. This system seriously needs radical changes. My arrest was in 2008, I was woke by a detective and two local officers pounding at my door. I answered, complied and then continued to explain my 6 month old daughter was asleep in another room. I was the only one home at the time and was placed in handcuffs and told I needed to tend to her with them on and to make arrangements to have her picked up. There is no worse feeling than having to change your daughters diaper with handcuffs on. This system is sick and twisted to the fullest extent. I recently was served with papers for a review hearing before a judge. When I appeared on the day of the hearing I was sent into a room with a case worker. I asked her where the judge was and was told that I would be dealing with a case worker to review the case. I questioned this because I was SUMMONED to COURT to APPEAR before a JUDGE! She told me if I wanted to appear before the judge that I had the right to schedule it. I proceeded to ask what everything was all about and was told I had been paying the wrong amount of support for the past 5 years and that it was a clerical error. I was then informed that the excessive interest that had incurred could not be removed and that my support would increase to reflect the current amount plus the interest difference. I have hired an attorney for this matter and filed and appeal only to be sent a copy of the case paper work and the reply that it was court ordered. SERIOUSLY!

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.

Heya just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the images aren't loading properly. I'm not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I've tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.
