- We suggest when contacting your representatives that you not email them.
Instead, call their offices on the telephone. You'll speak to a real person, and have much
more impact. These people are there to serve you. It is their job to talk to
you and to listen carefully to your concerns.

- If you have seen something on our website, in the newsletter, or in the Blogs,
print it up, and offer to send it to them. Or, after having established a contact
with someone in particular, then offer to email them the article or other item for them to
read.

- The laws that are in effect concerning child support and custody are destroying
people's lives. But you must let them know exactly how this is happening, and you
must suggest possible solutions, such as lowering child support, and requiring the
presumption of 50/50 shared parenting. Also, they must understand that the Bradley
Amendment simply must be modified to allow the modification of back child support at the
discretion of judges, especially in cases where a default hearing set the amount, or in
cases of imputed income.
CONTACT THE MEDIA
- Just like the advice above, it is better to write or call individual editors and
reporters. Tell them what is on your mind. Suggest story ideas to them.
Tell them how family law is destroying your life, or the lives of you family. They
are always looking for a fresh take on an issue. Give it to them! Follow the
procedures listed in the notes for contacting elected officials above.
