I am a non custodial parent in a case which I thought to be unique, but sadly with research I have found is not very extraordinary. I pay current child support, and have completely paid off my child support which i accrued while I went to nursing school through poverty. I am currently owed a very large sum of money by the custodial parent who did not pay for more than twelve years and came with papers to take my daughter while i was at work. I am aware of what the division of child support can do to recover arrears but feel like it would be a form of revenge to try to pursue action. I need an outside input on what to do, im on temporary leave for surgery i had and my income taxes were intercepted. Wouldn’t the division of child support intercept for the child support owed to me? I have obtained legal council through metlaw, but i do not know the details of what to file. I am being alienated from my daughter harrassed and hatemailed. Please help as i have eight children to provide for.

My exwife withheld visitation from me with my child for 8 years and for 8 years I hired a attorney to go to court finally she was fond in contempt of court and put in prison for 30 days
Can I take here back to court for my attorney fee’s even though it has been several years ago?
