Recession/Depression affecting child support offices
With the recession pushing the unemployment rate to 9.5 percent, job losses have not spared two-household families.
In Ohio, the number of child-support cases being paid with unemployment benefits almost has tripled in the past year and that means fewer dollars to those who need it.
ANCPR SAYS:
The current economic crisis is turning into a big problem for many parents. If your financial situation has changed, you really need to contact the CS people to avoid things like license suspension, contempt, and all that. If they don’t seem to help or cooperate, then file a case in court for modification or at least some kind of temporary relief. If things actually get worse in the economy, then all hell is going to break loose in the courts and in these child support offices, since states and counties are cutting staff, while the work-load increases.

the Economic recession made a lot of jobless people in my own country. We could only hope that our economy becomes strong again
