DA won’t give a guy a break
Madisonville, KY – Hopkins County Attorney Todd P’Pool said that the county is going to intercept settlement claims by several individuals who were set to receive money as part of the Sutton vs. Hopkins County Lawsuit Settlement.
The class action lawsuit was filed against Hopkins County based on allegations of unlawful strip searching at the Hopkins County Jail.
In October 2008 P’Pool, working through the Child Support Unit to identify those who would be receiving part of the settlement from the suit and also owed unpaid child support.
ANCPR Says: Apparently some former inmates sued because of excessive use of strip searching for non-violent convicts. They won, but the D.A. will make sure to get his own. These guys never back off.
