Obviously there's no need to have men abuse shelters. I lost all three of my children to my ex husbands, and yes they abused me and yes I even stayed at a shelter a few times. They are both 6'4 at 200 and 280 lbs and I am 5'4 and weigh 120. I don't like men any taller than me now. It's hard for me to like men at all really. Most of them come to these shelters for help with kidnapping their children and destroying their husbands. It’s like seeking help with destroying your spouse for the purpose of extortion, and then complaining about being taken advantage of by the criminals who are supposed to be helping you. If you climb into bed with criminals, you’re no better than they are, and you can’t expect anyone to care about what happens to you as a result. It’s unfortunate for the women who really need help escaping actual abuse, but they’re far from being the only victims of this criminal enterprise. Being a former victim of domestic violence, I was subjected to live in shelters for a period of time. My experience has left me depressed. I know how corrupt the system is.
