Shared Parenting advocate helps elect sympathetic Congressman

The Liberator is a Washington, D.C. based newspaper that is considered to be “the authority” on shared parenting all across the United States. It is published by the ACFC and has a readership estimated at close to 30,000.
The story that reports Robert Pedersen’s efforts in helping Tim Walberg win over an incumbent Congressmen starts on page 1 and concludes on page 14. This is quite an honor for A Child’s Right to reach this level of national attention! The news story also mentions Robert Pedersen’s unusually high vote count for the minor political position that he ran for – County Delegate for Precinct 2. We are very proud of Robert and of his dedication to making Michigan family friendly again. Robert told me himself that he has two copies of the entire newspaper saved for his son and daughter for when they are old enough to have such material. One thing will be crystal clear to his children when they are older – he consistently asks for more time with his children and this is being DENIED! How sad after this much time that has gone by to still prevent his own children from seeing more of him. I would not be able to sleep at night knowing that I deprived such awesome kids of the love, nurturing and guidance of a loving father that WANTS more time.

Robert Pedersen is a man and a father bringing politicians and society back to commen sense and connection with life and all that life and creation was intended to mean. Strange how humanity continues to do to its own what it has done to the many other life forms just trying to have a life on this planet. Mr. Pedersen is one of those voices in the wilderness with a precious message. I feel happy for him that he has managed to make this accomplishment as a manifestation of his calling, devotion, and energies. His work is making a profound difference for the children and the parents of the nation.
“Strengthening Families: Children of divorced, separated, or unmarried parents overwhelmingly find themselves in situations where they are placed into the sole physical custody of one parent. Healthy children require the love and attention of both parents in order to become healthy and productive adults. Steve will author legislation establishing a presumption of joint physical custody in Minnesota’s family law statutes. This will ensure that more children are able to spend equal time with both parents”.
“Minnesota children and their families are at risk. Today, government interferes in families at a higher frequency than anytime in our history. Oftentimes, the government “social system” operates without regard to the law, but instead finds itself fixated on carrying out its ever-evolving, growing mission – in the interest of continuing to build the bureaucracy. This government mammoth is out of control and overweight. It is parents that naturally have the responsibility and the authority to raise and discipline their children. Government should only become involved when laws are broken. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Our social system has become so broad in its mission and so large and cumbersome, that it is undermining the authority that parents have to parent their children. This is negatively impacting children and their families. It’s destroying the semblance of order in our schools. Steve will work to end the government abuse of children and their families. He will introduce legislation to require families to be represented in the formation and coordination of social policy, instead of the radical groups that currently steer our system toward family destruction. Steve will fight for common sense family law reforms to end the downward spiral of the family and strongly support the efforts of parents to protect and instill character in their children”.
